V-Day has passed, but the Valentine's Day Drabble-o-matic is definitely worth a visit. Here's what mine came up with -

A Piano In Time

On a beautiful and playful morning, Frodo sat under a thumb. It was Valentine's Day and he was all alone. His foot ached in sorrow for the secret love that he could never share. How could he expect Sam to love someone with a fragrant earlobe?

Exasperatedly, he began to recite a poem he had composed. "Ah, my love is like a crazy sweet pipe, all on a summer's day. I wish my Sam would smell me, in his own facetious way..."

"Do you?" Sam sat down beside Frodo and put his hand on Frodo's naughty bit. "I think that could be arranged."

Frodo gasped aggressively. "But what about my fragrant earlobe?"

"I like it," Sam said huskily. "I think it's sticky."

They came together and their kiss was like a morning of pale spring still clinging to winter's chill.

"I love you," Frodo said calmly.

"I love you too," Sam replied and licked him.

They bought an oliphaunt, moved in together, and lived swiftly ever after.
